2007 Movie

Are you ready to see the most fantastic action movie of 2007? Well you may be pleasantly surprised to discover it is one that comes from the popular 80’s cartoon Transformers. This Transformers movie review will hopefully motivate you to go take a look at what it has to offer. There is plenty of potential for this to be named the action movie of the year if not of all time.
For anyone who grew up watching the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons this movie will bring back plenty of fond memories. The transformers 2007 movie review indicates that you will not be disappointed with the way the characters you remember from two decades ago are brought to life in this thrilling movie. The voices of most of the characters will be very similar to what you remember them being.
A few modifications have been made to some of the characters but it is my opinion in this Transformer movie review that they are for the better – keep in mind I was a die hard Transformers fan as well. I won’t give away the look of Megatron here but I can tell you that I think you will like what you see. There are no surprises with Optimus Prime, he is still a very powerful figure as a robot and as a Freightliner semi truck.
The most significant change Transformers fans will see is in Bumblebee. Instead of being a yellow Volkswagen Beetle he now takes on the form of a new 2008 Chevy Camaro. They have been in the works for a while but the new models aren’t even for sale yet. I am sure this will be some good publicity for the Chevy Camaro which has been out of production for the past several years.
This live action transformer movie is very well written. Michael Bay really did a wonderful job of capturing the essence of the Transformers series from two decades ago. The average age of the people watching this movie is between 21 and 40. This is due to the fact that so many of us grew up watching this animated cartoon. However I would like to mention in this Transformers review 2007 that I believe people of all ages will really enjoy the movie.
If you grew up watching Transformers then you will really enjoy it. Seeing those characters we enjoyed so much on the big screen is fun and it will bring back plenty of childhood memories as well for you. Those who didn’t watch Transformers back then or belong to the younger generations will enjoy it as well.
The Transformers movie starts from the very beginning of it all so if you are familiar with the characters it will serve as a refresher at the start of the movie. However those who haven’t seen the Transformers before won’t be left wondering how everything came about because it is all covered.
The movie starts out with the Autobots and the Decepticons living together in harmony on Cyberton. This quickly changes when Megatron, leader of the Decepticons, learns the value of the cube – it controls all life forces. He devises a scheme to use that power for his own wants. Optimus Prime and the Autobots do all they can to prevent it from happening. The cube falls to Earth as Cybertron is destroyed in the battle. All of the transformers then relocate to Earth.
My Transformers 2007 movie review won’t be complete if I didn’t rave about the thrilling action scenes that take place all through the movie. The audience when I watched it was captivated and impressed. They applauded and cheered so it was obvious they were having a good time. I plan to go see this movie again next week because I enjoyed it so much. I am certain it is just a matter of time before I return with the Transformers movie review for part 2!

Action Figure

The Fourth of July is highly anticipated and will not be long forgotten by Transformers fans old and new. The film, and all the hype surrounding it, is sure not to disappoint as well as the Transformers action figures and toys that have fans in a frenzy!
The classic war between the Autobots and Decepticons has crossed over galaxies and more than ten million years. The Transformers continue to wage a galactic war for control with the evil Decepticons, led by Megatron, who seek to dominate and rule, and the courageous Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, who fight to protect and conserve.
The feature film is directed by Michael Bay from a screenplay written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. It’s a new story line, set apart from the previous generations of the cartoons and comics. Steven Spielberg is the executive producer of this film introducing the new origin and characters.
The lead human role in the movie "Sam Witwicky" will be played by Shia LaBeouf with supporting roles played by Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and Megan Fox. Originally, Bernie Mac and Dane Cook were to play cameos in the movie. However, Dane Cook announced due to an argument that his role in the film was scrubbed. It is expected that Peter Cullen, the original voice actor who played Optimus Prime, will voice the hero character once again. Megatron is being voiced by Hugo Weaving.

Collectables

Transformers, the movie recently caused a stir in the US box office, and ever since I can remember, as I kid I had dozens of transformers toys. Today transformers toys have become collectable items, and there is a market for old transformer toys, I remember my first ever transformer toy was a green tank. Recently I was surprised to find out that the tank was now worth nearly $500! If you have been smart enough to hold on to your transformer toys then you should log on to different sites to know how much your transformer toy is worth.
Contrary to popular belief transformer toys too are catalogued based on their year of manufacture; the earliest being transformers manufactured between 1984 and 1990. In fact if you have a transformer toy that was manufactured between 1984 and 1990, then you will be surprised to know that a lot of the transformers from that time are now collector’s item and can go for upwards of $100. Transformer toys have been popular in countries like Japan, USA and Canada; in fact a majority of transformer toy collectors are in Japan, however the demand for transformer toys in America is also on the rise.
Depending on the condition of the toy and also the year of manufacture a transformer toy can be worth a lot, in fact if you are lucky to be the owner of a limited series transformer Autobot from the 1984 series, an original unopened transformer from the first generation of transformers could be worth close to $1000.
Another popular collectors item in transformer toys are ‘bootleg’ transformers, these toys are actually made for a particular country, since they are not authorized for distribution in countries like the US or Canada, they are very rare to find. Another misconception with ‘bootleg’ transformers is that they are poor quality copies; this is not true sometimes the ‘bootleg’ transformers are superior in quality to authorized transformers products. If you have a transformer toy that was not an authorized transformers product, then you might just be in possession of a rare product and you should hold on to it.
With so many transformers toys produced in the past 3 decades it’s become increasingly difficult to keep up with all the product lines, in fact in Japan alone there are some very interesting transformers available. One of the most controversial lines of transformer toys called the Kiss Players line is considered to be for adults only and some toys are pornographic in nature. Once again since this was a limited series created in Japan alone, this makes for a popular collector’s item.
If you are looking for transformers toys or other collectables related to transformers, you can visit sites like transformersnation.com that offer quality transformer toys, and offer transformers toys that attract both first time buyers and collectors alike. If you are still not sure what you are looking for, or how much your transformer toy is worth, you can always search for other transformers related articles and products online and find out what your transformer toy is worth today.

Rare Transformers

I have to admit I'm 35 years old and with the release of the latest Transformers movie earlier this year I became very excited about one of my favorite child hood toys. I never had any of the really big transformers of my day. My day was when they first came out. I always wanted Sound Wave, Optimus, and of course Mega Tron.
Fast forward at least 20 years and now I have a son who plays with transformers. So now I get to make sure he gets all the good ones. We already have the leader class Optimus Prime and Ultimate Bumble Bee. I must say the more expensive transformers are a much better quality than the standard level 3 difficulty ones that retail for around 10 bucks.
I don't remember my original transformers falling apart so easy. They even say on the packaging they are intended to fall apart at the joints to avoid breakage. The original oens didn't have this type of problem because they were much more durable with metal parts.
One thing is for sure though, the older you get the harder it is to do these things. I remember changing my transformers into vehicle mode quickly and easily right out of the box. My son can do it much better than me so I think I am getting a little old to enjoy these toys.
Because of my interest in the original tranformers I rented the Original Transformers Movie. So my son got to see all the original classic characters. This led him to wanting Sound Wave and the original Mega Tron. These two decepticons are really hard to find. They are rare as well as other first generation transformers.

The Story

Transformers is one of the most widely known and successful series of toys and comics. In the bit more than 25 years the Transformers story has captured the imagination of kids and in many cases adults. There are several small variations of the Transformers story that was first told in a series of Marvel comics in the early 80s in order to supplement the Japanese-created line of toys. This article goes over the major points of the story as it is most commonly known.
The Transformers story is a classic battle between good and evil. In the planet Cybetron, the robotic lifeforms known as Transformers live in much the same way humans live on Earth: They have separated themselves into fractions and started a war for dominance. According to popular versions of the Transformers, Primus is considered the creator of the Transformers; his nemesis is another bot known as Unicron which is in constant conflict with Primus.
According to the story, the bots sustain themselves by receiving their life force from something known as the Matrix. In some versions of the Transformers story, The Matrix is a device that gives enormous power to the bot that possesses it; often this bot is the leader of the "good" fraction of Transformers known as the Autobots. The bots that belong to the evil or "bad" fraction are known as the aptly named Decepticons.
The leader of the Autobots and most well known bot is Optimus Prime, a bot that can change shapes between a humanoid robot and a truck. The Decepticons' leader is Megatron. The two sides have had differences that resulted in a fierce war waged between the two on the planet Cybetron for millions of years. It was unavoidable that this bitter war would eventually spoil over to other solar systems and as such the Autobots and Decepticons found themselves battling on Earth.
In the recent action movie directed by Michael Bay, in the Transformers story told, we find the two sides arriving on Earth and fighting over the possession of a powerful device known as Allspark. As the Transformers story go, this device would grand an enormous powers to anyone who possesses it making it obvious why each side would want to have it. As far as the movie's plot goes, the Decepticons arrive on Earth after receiving a signal from Megatron informing them that the Allspark is here. As the story goes, the Autobots arrive as well to protect the device and the human who has in his possession a map with the exact location of Allspark.
The Transformers history includes many more characters other than Optimus Prime and Megatron, many of which are often integral to the version of the Transformers story told.
At the end of the day, the Transformers story will be told many times over in the future and it will continue to attract our attention because of its depiction of the never ending battle between good and evil. You can relive the Transformer story by owning your own copy of the collectors Transformers DVD box set.

Transformer Mania

The original Transformers toy line was introduced to the English-speaking world in 1984, as a partnership between Hasbro and a Japanese toy manufacturer called Takara. The toys were already being made by Takara at that time as the toy lines "Diaclone" and "MicroChange". Hasbro bought the rights to market them in the West and renamed them "Transformers". When the cartoon started airing in September 1984, there was an explosion of interest in the toys as the must-have items for Christmas shopping for the next two years. The toys came in a wide range of characters seen in the television cartoon series, from popular main characters such as Optimus Prime and Megatron, to more minor supporting characters such as the Insecticons and the Dinobots.
In 1986 "Transformers: The Movie", an animated film directly following the storyline of the series, was released in cinemas to poor reviews and did not do well at the box office. The important role it filled in the context of the toy line was to get rid of characters from the original series to make room for a slew of brand new characters, and thus new toys. The post-movie cartoon series was decidedly less popular than the original series had been, but the toy line soldiered on for many more years. Several new lines were rolled out with names like "Pretenders" and "Action Masters" but they failed to capture the public imagination like the original Transformers toy lines had. Production ceased for the United States market in 1990, but the UK, Canada and Japan had new lines produced continuously until 1993, based on characters from the Transformers comics.
From 1993 to 2007, the Transformers toy lines and companion cartoon series (the later ones all being animated in CGI) were re-imagined several times over in different forms - one of which saw the Transformers changing into animals instead of machines. Some of the later lines grew in popularity, but not to the same manic degree that the originals had enjoyed.
In 2007 a major live-action motion picture was released. The movie was a re-imagining of the original series, which saw the Autobots and Decepticons come to Earth from their home planet of Cybertron to find the mythical power source known as the All-Spark. The Transformers seen in the movie are redesigned versions of the characters from the original 1984 cartoon series, including such favourites as Optimus Prime, Megatron, Jazz, Bumblebee and Starscream, among others. The movie was an enormous box office success, launching the Transformers back to the heights of popularity the toy line enjoyed in its early 80's heyday. With the release of the movie comes the release of a new line of toys that are some of the must-have items on this year's Christmas shopping list.
